History

Sebelum Pembentukan LIPIHKI

Sebelum adanya LIPIHKI, USU memiliki beberapa unit yang menangani publikasi ilmiah dan hak kekayaan intelektual, seperti Klinik Publikasi Ilmiah dan Unit Perlindungan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual, yang berada di bawah Lembaga Penelitian.

2022

USU established LIPIHKI to accelerate the institution's vision of becoming an internationally recognized university with local excellence. LIPIHKI serves as a facilitator and developer to increase the quantity and quality of publications in reputable scientific journals and ensure the protection of intellectual property rights for the academic community.

2023

LIPIHKI collaborated with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of North Sumatra to organize the "Patent Examiners Go to Campus" event at USU. This 16-day program aimed to increase the number of patent applications within the academic community.

2024

LIPIHKI continued to hold various training sessions and workshops to enhance the quality of scientific publications and to improve awareness of intellectual property rights among the academic community at USU. Through these initiatives, LIPIHKI is committed to supporting the development and dissemination of scientific knowledge and innovation at national and international levels.
